Dockside draws from American work jackets that became common in the 1950s, worn by assembly line workers, mechanics, and construction crews. The cropped length, structured shoulders, and front zipper were developed for movement and durability inside factories. It was a garment defined by function.

The name Dockside shifts the setting. In many industrial cities, the dock marked the point where factory production met open water. It remained part of the same system of labor, but in a different environment, exposed to wind, salt, and light. Dockside refers to that edge of industry, where structure stays intact while the surroundings change.

This version keeps the original workwear foundation while adjusting the surface. The body is constructed from jacquard denim, adding depth and texture to a fabric long associated with labor.
