The RAW Version is left completely unwashed after sewing, preserving the fabric in its original state. The color appears richer, the fabric feels firmer, and every wear gradually shapes the garment into something uniquely yours.

Made from heavyweight cotton jersey with a dense yet soft handfeel, it offers a structured silhouette that slowly softens with use. As with all raw cotton garments, expect approximately 5 to 7% natural shrinkage after the first wash, which equals around 3 cm body length. This is a natural part of the fabric and its aging process.

The History Behind the Fit

Originally developed as military undershirts during the mid-20th century, fitted crew neck T-shirts quickly became symbols of effortless masculinity.

Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire and James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause transformed the simple undershirt into an iconic standalone piece, defining the rugged style of the era.

Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, the muscle-fit T-shirt became associated with authenticity, confidence, and timeless style. It was worn by icons such as Steve McQueen and continues to inspire modern menswear today.

Care

The RAW Version is intentionally left unwashed.

Please allow for approximately 5 to 7% shrinkage after the first wash, mainly in the body length, which is around 3 cm. Wash in cold water and hang dry for the best results.
